CreateDocument as new version

Hi,

Is there a way to use the CMIS CreateDocument() operation to automatically create a new version if an existing document with the same name exists in the folder? Or does it require that we CheckOut() the existing document and CheckIn() the new document to create the new version?

Hi Faraz,the checkout/checkIn mechanism over a known document ID is the right way to create a new version.CreateDocument is not able to create a new version over an already existing document (name). This would rather throw an error because the OT CMIS implementation doesn’t accept two documents with the same name within the same folder.Stefano
