List of LAPI Error Status Code?

Hello,

The Search is not very helpful today. We captured an error status code 100601 in our application where LAPI is used, but I looked all over OTDN and still can't find what it means, therefore no way to repair the problem.

May I please have the URL or document that explains this error code? If possible, a list of all error codes would be unimaginably useful in the long run.

LAPI error (status) codes are not bound to messages 1:1 although it can appear so in many cases. You should always include the message you obtained with the code in your error reports.

If you grab a developer they can search for the error code in the Livelink Builder and find the script that most certainly returned that in your scenario. For example, I've happened to find the 100601 in the LAPI call CopyObject being returned if the source object (Livelink node) could not be obtained. But my Livelink Builder includes only a few modules to search through. Anyway, the error message would say why the operation failed.

Ferda, I searched ospaces, and found that same code in CopyObject(). which is exactly what is causing it (I wrote the LAPI code). Well now at least I know it fails at obtaining the source object in the CopyObject() function. Still wish it had say why. The message happens to be empty in our log.

I'm glad that you were able to get further. If you could afford catching the error in the Builder you could inspect the actual value returned by DAPI; there may be a bug when transferring the complete error information to the LAPI response. But it can be something else and I'm not sure if more verbose logging would help.
