Authentication issue using .NET Authentication webservice

We are facing a issue using the Authentication Token generated using a .Net version of Authentication Service(http://diff_host:90/les-services/Authentication.svc) to access /livelink/livelink.exe/socialapi. This is always being redirected to login page. But we are able to use other services(DocumentManagement, SearchService) using this Authentication Token.

If we use the java version of Authentication Service(http://myhost:8888/les-services/services/Authentication) we do not have any issues.

The difference between these two webservices is, Java webservices are running on the same host as of Content Server(http://myhost:8888/livelink/livelink.exe), where as .Net webservices are running remotely(on a different host) on IIS.

After looking into various posts on Content Web Services Forum we found https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll?func=ll&objId=18539419&objAction=viewincontainer&ShowReplyEntry=18565423, looks like we need some configuration change for this to work.

Please provide your suggestions or details on configuration changes to be done.

As mentioned in the KC article you may relax the IP address check; see , topics "Cookie Authentication Information"/"Client IP address" And (maybe) you need also to adjust the "Trusted Referring Websites" setting. You should configure the most restrictive setting (mask for the IP address check) as possible.
