Reporting on Zip and Email recipients

Is it possible to report on who a file was zip and emailed to? I can create a report to see that a user did create a zip and email audit event but cannot find a table in the 9.7.1 database that stores who the message was sent to and the text of the email sent to that user. Is that data stored anywhere in 9.7.1 and if so which tables and fields is the recipient information stored in (we do not have elink)

It’s an option to turn on the auditing for this event in the admin pages / system administration / administer event auditing / set auditing interests. It has to be checked off in order for it to log the event. If it’s already checked, you can query the dauditnew table, or in the same area in the admin pages, you can go to “Query Audit Log” and choose that event from the list. From looking in our system, it just shows what document was zipped and emailed, it doesn’t show who it was sent to or the text of the email.

I know you said you don’t have eLink, but “eLink Sent Document Copy” does show the item emailed, who emailed it, and who it went to, but it doesn’t show the body of the email either. It would be nice if any of the “email” actions were audited the same.

I found this answer posted elsewhere on the Knowledge Centre:

In the Admin Pages / System Administration / Administer Event Auditing / Set Auditing Interests, you can check off "Zip and Download" and "Zip and E-mail". This will make sure the events are being audited. If they aren't, then they won't show up as entries in the audit table.

Then you go to System Administration / Administer Event Auditing / Query Audit log, you can choose "Zip and Download" or "Zip and E-mail" as the Event Type. Plus you can narrow it down by date or user if you choose.”

We have no eLink tables at all in our SQL DB - where do you find “eLink Sent Document Copy”, is it a table? Its not even listed in the 9.7.1 Schema reference doc (at least not the version I have)

I thought that since the user fields for zip and email are Livelink users and selected with the Livelink user picker at the very least it would give us the user ids then we can create a query to get the name but it seems that the data is not stored anywhere

“eLink Sent Document Copy” is an auditable event, not a table, which is there because eLink is installed. I was just comparing it to the Zip and Email auditable event, saying that the eLink event does show who it was emailed to, but the Zip and Email doesn’t. That would be a good enhancement request.
