Hi,

anyone having report to list deleted documents in a date range?

I dont want report related to documents in the undeleted documents area.

You can use the DAUDITNEW table: Auditid = 2 and to_char(auditdate, 'yyyy-mm') = '2011-12'. It'll give the file name and version and Performer.

Define exactly what “deleted” means to you. Also, do you have the RM module? For us, when someone hits delete on a document, it “moves” it to the undelete workspace. After the documents are purged from the document workspace, or it’s any other object besides a document, there is a query within the RM admin area to query destroyed documents.

Hi Baber,

You will need to refer to the audit tables for this information.

How will depend on what version of Livelink/Content server you have installed and optional modules installed.

Nicole wisely asked what you mean by deletion.

Do you mean finally deleted, or the initial delete to the recycle bin/undelete workspace?

There are two modules that offer recovery processing for deleting objects.

Document Undelete

and

Recycle Bin

Document Undelete only supports document objects (subtype1 44).

Recycle Bin is configurable for almost all subtypes.

If you use Document Undelete, when a user Deletes an object it is audited as a Move to the Undelete Workspace.

The restore operation is audited as a Move to the original or chosen folder.

If the item is deleted from the Undelete Workspace, then that appears as (the final) Delete audit (auditid=2, auditstr='Delete').

For RecycleBin processing, there is a 'Recycle' audit (auditid=173), a 'Restore' audit (auditid=174) and the final 'Delete' audit.

To further complicate your decision on what you want to do, a final 'Delete' happens when you manually go to the workspace volume and delete an item OR when a configured agent cleans up based on a defined number of days since the user 'delete' action.

That agent may not be configured to run or may be configured to do the final delete a large number of days after the user did the first delete action.

Of course, the user performed Deletes may be undone by the restore action.

If you have Records Management or one of several other 'specialist' modules then other issues may come into play.

This complexity explains why no one has yet given you a simple statement to provide a 'document deletion report'.

You are unlikely to get a packaged answer from someone else.

If you have a real business need for a bespoke report then maybe you need to engage OpenText Global Services to assist.
