Issue with Enterprise Library services

Hello,

We are facing an issue with Enterprise Library services. Al the services are up and running in tomcat manager, but when ever we click or refresh on Document model under enterprise library services in administration client. It throwing an error, please find the details of the error message below.

Hi Madan,

Please attach the file rcs.log from tomcat’s log directory.

Is the system using CAP or OTDS?

Is the user you are logged in to Administration Client known in Content Server, and does it have administration rights there?

Hi Madan,

From the context where the error occurs, we suspect that the cause might be a storage rule in CS which puts not only content, but also type definitions into Archive Server.

Please check this in .../livelink.exe?func=storageprovider.rules: Is there an “Always” rule with an Enterprise Archive storage provider?

Hi Madan,

I understand that you have the “Always” rule and the error happens.

This is very interesting for us, because we could not reproduce this problem in development until now.

Please do us the favour and switch on CS logging as follows:

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>in .../livelink.exe?func=enterprisearchivesp.dshconfig set all the Storage provider log levels to “On” and increase the logfile size (append a 0)

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>in .../livelink.exe?func=admin.sysvars set logging options to Detailed thread logging and select SQL logging

<![if !supportLists]>· <![endif]>then reproduce the error and send us all the thread logs, sql logs and easp logs from CS’ log directory.

This should help us to analyze the problem.

Then, to fix your system, remove the “Always” rule and replace it with a rule like OR ( Object Type in (Document), Is an Enterprise Library object (value is ignored) ).

This is what is recommended, because you only want content to go to the Archive.

Please have a look into rcs.log file, or ot-elib.log file depending on your version.

If the problem doesn’t become obvious, please contact your Customer Support representative and provide a problem description, screenshots and the logs files.
