Anyone Installed ELS on Standalone Content Server VM

Hi All,

I'm trying to install the ELS (RCS/OTDS/Archive Server) on a standalone content server VM Image where its also has AD installed. I was able to install RCS/OTDS but when it comes to Archive server it fails after it configures DB (i see bunch of tables created) but couldn't find anything other than that.

Does any one has experience with this?

Hi,

please have a look at the file MakeSchema.log

The location of this file may depend on installed version.

On windows %TEMP%/opentext and on Unix /tmp/OpenText is a good starting point to seek this file.

If the file ends like

'com.opentext.ecm.lea.installation.MakeSchema.printErrorSettings - ++++ checkParameters.errors: empty'

the schema creation succeded and the problem is some where else. In this case it is important to know wheter it is Windows or UNIX.

yes, that was the last line in the MakeSchema log file. I was looking at other log file MSI6498.log and noticed below lines:

Its actually problem with the ECR database. I had to run the SQL script and fix errors.

Once that's done, I was able to successfully install the Archive Server.

I was successful with the Archive server install but when I tried to create new Archives & storage tiers, I'm getting insufficient privileges error. I logged in with otadmin@.. user but still getting the error.
