How to get full search result without specifying the NumberofResultretrive

Hi,

If any one aware this problem, please help me to come out, i am using livelink search webservice to do some search task, if i pass query to the serach query, i need to sepcify the following attributes to get the search result, but i want how to get full result query from the livelink search webservice

query.FirstResultToRetrieve = 1; // start retrieving results at Result #1

query.NumResultsToRetrieve =1000;

Hello Latha,

The FirstResultToRetrieve and NumResultsToRetrieve parameters allow you to define a range of results to retrieve, similar to a "page" of results in the GUI.
If you need all results, you should iteratively search until you have retrieved all pages.

Be careful to not attempt to take the easy way out by making your NumResultsToRetrieve parameter value a very large number.
This could make the search time out on the back end and will tie up a Content Server thread until it completes.

Thanks for the reply.

I understood the funcitonality of the FirstResultToRetrieve and NumResulttoretrive, i just thought there may be another way to get all the search result withoug specifying those two parameter.. but i tried some case. but search service is expecting these two paramter without that it wont work perfectly.
