Getting Started with WebServices for Livelink/Content Server

We currently have livelink 9.7.1 and I am looking for a starting place that outlines everything I require to get livelink prepared to allow invocation of it's webservices from external webservice clients, along with a simple .NET (vb or c#) examples to get started. Does such documentation exist somewhere?

Is the livelink web services available right "out of the box" once 9.7.1 is installed or would I have to first install something on the livelink server and configure the webservices first in order to get started?

Anything that can guide me in the right direction would be great.

Why would you not look at the pinned examples in this forum.To do webservices programming at the minimum if you are a IIS/MS person you will need

A livelink server that is working preferably 9.7.1 or CS10
A webservices Virtual directory that can talk to the livelink server,it does not need to be the same server although that is how we setup.
A IDE where you can write code and goes without saying a userid/password to get into livelink.If you are a pro you could use the CLR as well

If you have livelink on a laptop then it makes it all the more aesier because you can actually see all of this in action using livelink's builder I use it when I get into a bind.

In java obviously the websrvics proxies need to be put on Tomcat or a server that understands java.The mechanism is still the same your code is being processed and sent to the livelink server using some protocol like telnet.

If you have those then all the postings by Kyle Swidrowich/Jason Smith/Scott Grasley would get you going in very easy time.

Web services do things almost as if a user was doing it from the GUI so if you can use the GUI you can break the complexities as well and it will make sense very soon.

Several external websites such as mine I try to help people with livelink programming . I would not be able to comment about the quality or accuracy as I do it for fun
