Authentication

Hello,

When trying to authenticate against an ELIB 10.2.1 I get the error message:

Legacy authentication invalid for this server.

I use the API and methods provided in the exampleClient.java and wonder how I can fix this to be able to use it for ELIB 10.2.1 easiest?

Is there a Parameter on the ELIB side that I can change in order to accept legacy authentication?

Hi Aurel,

"legacy" authentication stands for using the Web service http://<server>/ot-auth/services/Authentication?wsdl.

This is obsolete since 10.2.1.

Now you use http://<server>/ot-auth ws/services/Authentication?wsdl.

For standard scenarios the interfaces of the web services are identical.

Thanks Uwe, it worked.

But related to that I get to the next error:

{urn:auth.services.ecm.opentext.com}AuthenticationPort is not a valid port. Valid ports are: {urn:authws.services.ecm.opentext.com}AuthenticationPort

which is not part of my code and and thus I can't change the method authenticationService.getAuthenticationPort() of elib-api.jar, or?...

Is there a new version for elib-api.jar for 10.2.1 that I need? Or how can I change the port name?

You should simply recompile your web service stubs against the new authentication wsdl.

I was under the impression that these stubs are precompiled and bundled under the elib-api.jar provided?

I do not know how to recompile the stubs, maybe you can provide me with a hint?

I solved the problem. I needed to adjust some classes, from *.auth.* to *.authws.* and some other minor changes, then it worked for ELIB 10.2.1 too!
