NodeFeature doesn't always contain data for special object types

I'm trying to retrieve object specific information from different Content Server objects such as News, Disscussions etc.  The CWS documentation says to use the NodeFeature object as a way to get to these specific values.  However, the NodeFeature usually comes back null.  Is there other places with in the Node object that contains for example the Headline of a News object?

Take a look at the Collaboration service and the methods and objects available there.  You will find more resources there to deal with discussions, news, etc.  For news objects, look at the methods getNews() and listNews() which will return back NewsInfo objects containing all the news specific information.
