Authenticate a livelink user

Hello,

       I want to autheticate a user to verify if its a livelink user. After going through the KC and forums I learned that "AuthenticateUser" method can be used for this purpose.

     I have livelink 9.7.1 installed in our environment and .net 2.0 for using LAPI dlls.

     Since the method  "AuthenticateUser" belongs to Authentication.svc, I want to use this service reference, but I cannot find this service. Can anyone please tell where this service can be found and how to use it for .net 2005?

Hello Ashna,

The Authentication.svc web service is available under the installation directory of your Livelink 9.7.1 install.
For example,

     C:\livelink\ll971\webservices\dotnet\les-services

Have a look at the documentation hosted in this community for more information about setting up the services for the first time.
