Task List Report 2

Hello Experts,

I am pretty new to CS.

I am in need of a report which will enable me to find out all the tasks/task lists that are assigned with a particular category/attribute. I would like to see all the tasks with that category/attribute, no matter to whom it is assigned.

Is there any report of this type in CS10?

We are running CS10 update 7.

Its a bit urgent and your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Ravi,

Reporting on objects with specific category attributes does require an understanding of the schema.

For schema explanation specific to categories and attributes, please see pages 30-34 of the document referenced below:

Once you've read those pages, I recommend as a starting point a sample query from a November 28, 2006 discussion on the Knowledge Centre, posted by John Postma, one of our Oracle DBAs here at OpenText, located here and copied below as well:

“As promised to some of the Schema and LiveReport course attendees at LinkUp, here's an example of a query that pulls documents and their associated attributes for a given category without using multiple llattrdata table joins.

a.respondant y, kuaf.name, a.response_desc, a.followup
FROM kuaf, dtree,
(SELECT ID, vernum,
max(case attrid when 2 then valint end) respondant,

This example requires customizing the query to the category definition, but can perform better than multiple LLAttrData joins when deailing with large volumes of attribute data and categories with a large number of attributes.

Also, for anyone new to Content Server/Livelink or LiveReports, I highly recommend getting a copy of the System Schema Reference. To obtain a copy of the Livelink System Schema Reference Document which contains the Entity Relationship Diagram detailing how the various Livelink tables are connected to each other and also describes each table in detail, you will need to request a copy from your OpenText account manager; you will be asked to  sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) prior to it being shipped to you.
