Authenticating livelink user from cookie

How can I authenticate user in a webservice that uses livelink webservices for authentication. I suppose that only parameter that I can pass from client is LLcookie content.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Is it possible make livelink to save token in cookie, so I can pass token to webservice and use this token to authenticate?

Otherwise - if CWS are deployed in RCS - this is not the case (and there is no way achieve authentication at CWS on basis of the cookie.)

thank you...I now successfully authenticate user with a token....but how can I now get authenticated user info?

there is a method (below)..

OpenText.Livelink.Service.MemberService.MemberService memser = new MemberService();

memser.Authentication = auth;

User usr = memser.GetAuthenticatedUser();

..but this methos need admin privilages to work but if I authenticate with admin just to use this method it returns admin...

but I want to return token authenticated user....I need users ID, name etc.

The MemberService GetAuthenticatedUser method should return the info for the user for the provided authentication token, it should not have to be an admin user.

Otherwise, if you know the login name or ID of the user you want info for you can take a look at the MemberService GetUserByLoginName or GetMemberById methods.

If you need to modify the users and its membership, you don't need an account that is Admin or system admin but can be: create/modify users, create/modify groups or if required both: User administration right.
