How to get list of all users, groups, group members using call to livelink.exe

How can I get list of all users, groups, group members using call to livelink.exe?

For example, to get list of all users I tried call like below:

?func=user.listusers&outputformat=xml

URL would look like that:

http://vmserver1-app.vmdom.demo:8080/OTCS/livelink.exe?func=user.listusers&outputformat=xml

But it did not bring list of users

Same question on how to get list of all groups and how to get list of members(users) in the group if I have group id

Any help, hint is appreciated

I think you’ve posted this in the wrong forum.

This particular forum is for the RESTful Search API that searches an OpenText Search Index.

To quickly answer your question, however, have you tried just creating a LiveReport that queries the KUAFChildren table and calling that through a RunReport URL?

I need to be able programmatically (from VB.NET) to retrieve list of users with their attributes.

I am new to the Open Text applications and I do not know what you mean by "LiveReport", "KUAFChildren table", "RunReport URL"

I need function call with parameters that I could use programmatically...

Hi Andrey,

Core product does not provide a RESTful API for your particular use case.

Your options are SOAP-based Content Web Services (seehttps://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/Open/ContentWebServices) or parsing the HTML page responses from various user-centric URLs or LiveReport objects in the GUI of Content Server.

In older versions of product, the Livelink API (LAPI) was another option, but this is being deprecated so I’m not recommending using it.
