Inheriting RM Classification while copying folder

Hi,

Is there any API methods, to inherit RM classification in Record details from parent to child folder?

I want a option to either create/remove RM classification in a folder.

Also, I want that to be inherited from parent to the child folder. 

how can we perform that operation?

Inheritance are system wide configuration. Depending of which version of RM you have, there 2 places where you need to have a look:

1. In the admin page: Record managemen/Managed object: this where you define which object will have RM class and which one will inherit RM class. It is possible to add to this list "inherit from" by changing the opentext.ini not every type of object is in the list by default.
2. go in the enterprise menu: Record management (if RM 4.21 and +) then go to : "record Management Administration"/ system settings the n tab: Metadata inheritance. there you define the behavior of specific RM metadata on copy or move.

Any Api or web services will respect those "system wide" settings.
