Can anyone help with a report (SQL) to list the name and object id of all items under a particular folder?
It would also be useful to have folder locations but this is not as crucial.
Thanks
David
Hi David,
Given the DataID of the Parent Folder, here’s something very simplistic:
select DataID, Name from DTree where ParentID=<the_parent_folder’s_id>;
More detailed schema information can be found in the SDK System Schema reference, which is available to customers and partners with an SDK license.
Regards,
Kyle
If you’re looking for something that returns everything, including child and grandchild items, you can either use a CONNECT BY PRIOR clause or use the DTreeAncestors table for a flattened view of hierarchy.
I was looking for a report that listed not only the items in the particular folder but also sub folders and items in those aswell
I’m not sure what version you are on, but if you are populating the dtreeancestors table, you could use something like this. It will be a flat listing of everything, as it’s not recursive.
select dta.AncestorID, dt.DataID, dt.Name, dt.SubType
from dtree dt
join DTreeAncestors dta
on dt.DataID = dta.DataID
where dta.AncestorID = 2000 --Put in the dataid of whatever top level folder you want
