Alteon 5412-8G Load Balancer

Hi there, I was wondering if anybody is using the Alteon 5412-8G  load balancer in their CS10 environment? 

I would like some confirmation that there are organizations that have successfully load balanced their content server environment using this LB and it has met or exceeded their requirements.

    Hi Patrick.

    I don't have experience with this exact load-balancer, but in my experience almost all load-balancers can do the job for Content Server.

    Because CS10 is (mostly) web-based, it's a standard approach.  Generally the only differences among the products are the bells and whistles.

    The main things (in my opinion) are: load-balance web requests and ability to use least-connections (but with sticky-IP).

N.B. Of course there are other differences - software vs. hardware, load-balancing algorithms, availability options, load handling capability, request restriction, etc. but even then they all boil down to essentially the same technology.
