Uploading png images with CreateDocument

Hi,

We are using Livelink 9.7.1 (12-2010 cumulative patch) and we are experiencing some issues with the operation CreateDocument (DocumentManagemen WS)

The fact is that when we upload a png-type image the MimeType doesn't set correctly (it doesn't appear into the reponse) but with other types works correctly.

¿Are ther any known issue and patch to solve this problem?

Hi Miguel,

I think the MIME types of documents uploaded through CreateDocument are determined by examining the FileName property of the Attachment object passed in to CreateDocument.

The file extension on that filename is most likely compared against the /config/mime.types file by Content Server and a MIME type determination is made that way.

If the .png extension is missing from your server-side mime.types file, then that could be why you’re experiencing an issue.

I haven’t tested it to find out but if you do some experimentation, please provide feedback to the community.
