OT ELS10.2.1Update2 Mastersetup

Has anyone had experiances with the matersetup just stalling?

I have been trying to use the mastersetup.exe to install EL components, but it goes so far as to let me enter install parameters for RCS, and the install begins, but then it just hangs at only about 1/4 progress. I have let it sit there for 6+hrs now, so I am confident it is stuck...

I am doing the install on a VM using RDP (with /admin switch). UAC is disabled. The ISO is mounted via MagicISO. Also the account being used is a member of the Local Administrators group...

Anyone have any thoughts?

Hmmm… Deselected Directory services and not using OTDS and the install goes as it should.

Hi Walt,

I think you are experiencing the same problem as described in this forum thread:

Setting OPENDS_JAVA_HOME should help to install OTDS as well.

Hi Walt,

Which Java 6 update are you using? Update 29 will not work (SeeOTDS 10.2.1 Release Notes).
