Set MIME-Type with DCS using les-services

Hello,

We are using les-services to integrate some applications with livelink, using uploadContent operation to create documents. The problem is that we can't explicitily set the mime-type for those documents that doesn't have the extension into the file name. When the filename contains the extension, Livelink could resolve the mime-type using the mime.types file

However, uploading a document without extension usign the web interface, Livelink could resolve the mime-type using the DCS (we have set the property UseDCS=TRUE into the opentext.ini).

Are there any way to use the DCS to resolve mime-types of documents uploaded with les-services?

We are using Livelink 9.7.1

Unfortunately, no, that’s not possible at this time.

Back in the Livelink 9.1 days, DCS was run by llserver, however, the call to DCS was later moved into the CGI.

Since web services doesn’t hit the CGI directly but rather uses a socket connection, it cannot benefit from DCS MIME type detection logic.
