Hi,

Can I copy a set of documents to a different Folder keeping their categories and rest of the details intact?

If yes, what are the steps involved in Web services?

Hi Amit,

Sure, you can copy an entire set of folders together with its children & sub-children, categories, holds & every other aspect of it by using the out of the box Document Web services that should be first hosted on your Content Server instance's IIS.

All you need to do is authenticate yourself as an Admin or as someone who has the privileges to perform such a function under that particular folder via your Dot Net / Java application & then consume the DocumentManagement.svc's relevant Copy / Move method to complete the task for you.
