SDK?

Hello all,

I'm trying to download the Content Web Services SDK. Another thread (https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll?func=ll&objId=30746069&objAction=viewincontainer) indicated it could be downloaded from: Enterprise Content Management > Content Management > Content Server (Enterprise Server) SDK.

At that location I see a link for Downloads, but when I click that, I get: "Content Server Error: Error opening Shortcut.

[Could not retrieve the original node.]"

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Could you please include a link where you found the error? I would like to investigate that further.

From the Home page, if you go to ECM > Content Management > Content Server SDK, it brings you here:

https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/Open/16523021 Is this where you found the error?

What exactly are you trying to do?

There is no SDK to download to use CWS, however if you want to extend it you will need the Content Server SDK (aka Builder).

That first link for me gives a different message. It indicates that I do not have permission to access it, which I guess means the contract I am under does not grant access to the SDK.

Yes, the second link you provided contains a Shortcut named "Downloads [restricted access]", which I assume is a shortcut to the first node. When I click that, I get the error I pasted in my original post.

I'm looking for the Java API .jars and an offline copy of the javadocs for CWS. The Installation Instructions found here (https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll?func=ll&objId=18047148&objAction=browse&viewType=1) indicate that installing the SDK installs them under OTHOME/webservices/sdk. An application I am now supporting uses those .jars and I wanted to ensure I had the latest versions, and easy access to the javadocs.

The Java version of CWS is found in OTHOME/webservices/java/webapps/les-services.war. If you are looking for specific .jars you will find them contained in this .war file. The latest update for Content Server will contain the latest version of CWS.

As for an offline copy of the Javadocs, these do get shipped with the Content Server SDK (Builder) and get put into the OTHOME/webservices/sdk/ folder (as you mentioned). There you will also find some CWS samples as well as the .jar files that are used to build the Java version of CWS.
