Error in Search

Hello all,

I am very much new to LAPI. I was trying out search API for full text search where i am facing an issue. I was trying to run the sample code provided by OT for ApplyQuery, but it is giving me this error:

Apply query failed
Status Code: -2147481632
Api Error:
Error Message:
Status Message: Error Evaluating Query

Does  anybody have any idea how this can be resolved?

Hi Shruti,

 

Please avoid using ApplyQuery for search.

The logic has changed significantly in product and the results returned from ApplyQuery will not accurately mirror those returned via a search through the GUI.

 

Other APIs, such as the XML Search API are more suitable:

If you still intend to work with ApplyQuery, you should ensure that the search query is well-formed.

“Error Evaluating Query” typically implies that the query parser didn’t like the formatting of your query, however, in some cases it can also imply an issue with the search engine grid itself.
