Installation XECM - Error ELSERVICE

Hi,

Has anyone face this problem, in the Step of "Setting up Content Server", after installed the module as below,

25. Check the following modules to be installed:
• Content Move
• Archive Storage Provider
• Classifications
• Records Management
• Extensions for Enterprise Library
• Customizations Run Time Environment

It return the error page, message as below,

Content Server Error:

[This database has schema installed for module ELSERVICE, but software for that module is not installed on this Content Server instance. You must install that module on the server before you can connect This database has schema installed for module RECMAN, but software for that module is not installed on this Content Server instance. You must install that module on the server before you can connect ]

Please advise..

Hi,

it seems that the module references in the opentext.ini of that perticular Conten tserver instance are not correct.

Can you send us the [module] section from the opentext.ini please?

in the opentext.ini the modules are noted as installed. This is a bit strange as it does not fit to the error message, where CS says that software is not installed.

Do the modules exist in the module directory: elservice_10_2_1, recman_10_1_0 ? Can you say what went wrong during installation? Do log files exist for that?

As we have an inconsistency here I would recommend to open an OTCS ticket. There they will systematically check the consisteny of the system and surely will find the cause.

Nothing wrong during the installation, this error happen after i click "Install' button in step 25 - installing the module like Content Move, Archive Storage Provider, Classifications, Records Management, Extensions for Enterprise Library and Customizations Run Time Environment.

It's seem like inconsistent in connection, im not sure what kind of connections because if i keep on press refresh button, it will go thru the process, but anyhow, it will prompt me the same error in next step.

Do you have any idea?

I got almost the same error while installing the module ELIB 10.2.2 from the admin page URL. Did opentext resolve your issue by any chance ? please advise as we are dead in the water.
