Deteermine if a document was downloaded

Is there a way using the audit logs for a document to tell if it has been downloaded?

Also, a basic question - best way to determine if a document had been deleted/destroyed? We would have the unique id, but I am not sure the best place to look to determine if it was deleted.

Assuming that you have the Auditing Events enabled for those events that you should see them in the database table DAUDITNEW.

thanks for the response.

I have looked in DAUDITNEW and I see the log of where I have done the download, but it has and AuditStr = 'Fetch' which is the same AuditStr value when I just do an Open on the document. Is there a way to distinguish between Open and Download in the DAUDITNEW table? Are they supposed to have different values?
