Any way to hide webnode drop down items for a particular folder?

Short of giving a specific folder a custom node type ( not = 0 ), is there any way to clear out the webnode drop down action menu when the user navigates to that folder? 

I allowed the debugger drag me through miles of code until I found the _BrowseCreateObjects function that is used to build the "Add New Item..." popup and it seems to be pretty much hooked to subType, but sometimes there are magic words to open a secret door.

I will eventually ( next day ) need to add new specific webnode actions in their place, but I think there is enough in the forums to get me going on that and if I have to have new subTypes, then it will be a piece of cake.

I hate to bug the group a third time in 8 days, but I guess no one likes to be bored...  ;D

Hi,

 

HTML Appearance give the impression that you can disable the display of the Add Item menu, but it didn’t work for me.

 

You can also remove the Add Item rights for everybody.

 

You can create a custom view and remove the add item menu with some jQuery.
