Report results export to Excel

Hi.

 

It's possible to export the live reports results to an excel file?

1. Copy the link (i.e. the URL) of the LiveReport.

 

2. Open Excel, from the Data menu select Import External Data, New Web Query

 

3. Paste the LiveReport URL on the address field.

 

4. Excel will prompt you to login to Livelink. Login, run the report and click import. The LiveReport is in Excel now.

 

Here's another approach:

 

(a) Run the LiveReport in Livelink. When the results are displayed in the browser, save the browser page as an HTML file by using the File, Save As... menu in the browser itself.

 

(b) Open the HTML file using File, Open in Excel. It will import the data and maintain columns. The only extra step that needs to be taken is to delete the un-necessary header HTML that appears in the first few rows.

 

Also, do you have the optional WebReports module? I think it has an export-to-excel (or csv file)  function built-in.
