Hi,

Is there any way to merge 2 or more document (doc files)? Actually I have a requirement, in which user can select some documents and I have to merge all the documents in one and print this document. We don’t want to save this document. Actually they don’t want to pint content as separate document.

Merging document is document format specific operation. Which type of documents need to merged?

Can you be more specific?

Note - For merging PDF documents you can use Apache PDF Box API.

I want to merge MS Doc files. But I am not sure how to read the content from word documents and merge them and open in new word document for printing.

Lets say we have 3 word files.

A has 10 pages

B has 5 Pages

C has 5 Pages

now I want a open a single word document which has 20 pages (A+B+C)

Gaurav,

You will need is an API to manipulate Doc files. If you use .Net as primary development platform then there should be .Net API to do this. If Java is you primary development platform then there are open source / commercial APIs for manipulating doc files, you should look at those.
