Livelink over SSL and LAPI

I have deployed Livelink on IIS webserver and configured it to use SSL with signing certificate.

I am trying to access this portal using .NET apis of LAPI. Requesting to provide me some pointers in order to achieve this.

What version of livelink are you using?if it is above 9.7.1 then you can expose webservices in HTTPS and use that to code.

I recently played with that and put my experiences as a programmer using webservices using a HTTPS livelink here livelink.in.I used a freebie cert not paying any company like RSA to do my tests so I am not really sure that qualifies or not.

But if you really want to use Livelink API as in older years programming I would think you need these kind of things

From my memory from long years back I believe the SSL libraries needed to be added in the path of the lapi program computer as I think internally they use a real C call to load the SSL libraries.Most times if you use the tool from OT called "LAPI Test Connection" you can probably get past the errors.

My gut feel is you should try to go modern as in EWS/CWS

I am trying to download the documents and folders from Livelink and already have the codebase ready for it. Will try go through the links that you have provided and try to get this done.

Otherwise guess will have to rewrite the code to use web services.

Will keep you updated.
