"LAPI_NETp.dll" doesn't exist

Hi.

I have developed different method in C # to manage the content server through WebServices. With massive processing, however, I find performace issues, so I'm considering to use LAPI.

I downloaded the components listed here: https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/cs.dll/open/4042029

I ran the installer "1000_cs64_win_release_10_builder.exe" and I installed everything in the directory "E: \ OpenText" where it was already installed an instance of Livelink.

The problem that I can not find the file "LAPI_NETp.dll" I'm looking for the wrong file?

Hi Riccardo,

You need to install LAPI client side installer (this includes the "LAPI_NETp.dll” which you are looking for).

If you don’t have LAPI client side installer then you would need to contact OT support because they have removed it.

Recently somebody was asking for lapi.jar.

I strongly advise against using LAPI.

The reason why LAPI is no longer readily available is because LAPI has ceased to be developed as of 9.7.1.

As such, none of the newer features of Content Server (e.g., multilingual metadata) are supported by that API.

OpenText has many solutions that rely on Content Web Services as the API for interacting with Content Server.

Some of which have achieved very high throughput.

If you are experiencing performance issues, they can most likely be resolved without having to resort to the use of a deprecated API.

Thank you Kyle... infact I use 10.0.

Now I've solved my performance issues optimizing code: erroneously, to insert 1000 documents I opened connection 1000 times. Stupid
