LiveReport to Update/Insert via Web Services

Has anyone successfully managed to run a LiveReport to insert or update data using webservices?

We are running CS10 Update 11 and don't have LiveReport Extensions installed, but we get a "Error loading ReportResult.IsLimit" error when we try and run one, even though the SQL executes successfully.

It sounds like the IsLimit field isn't being set correctly at the OScript layer (likly Undefinfed) and this value cannot be set to a boolean outside of OScript (ie. Java or C#).

I've logged a bug for this under LESAPI-1715.

Can you provide more details on the LiveReport you are trying to run? What is the value for your Record Limit? I assume this is where the root of the issue is.

I've attached the exported LiveReport, which basically updates the KUAFPrefs table with a specified value for a specified user and section (which is always General) so it's always a single record. I've tried setting the record limit to 2, 1, 0 and even -1 but it generates the same error whichever.

Thanks, this is great. I was able to reproduce the issue with your attached LiveReport.

I've added these details to the bug that I logged under LESAPI-1715. This bug is currently scheduled to be fixed in update 14 (released in March 2014 timeframe).

If you need a fix for this issue sooner, please open a ticket with customer support.

I am intrested to know more on this topic, as we are having a requirement to run a livereport from the web services calls.

Please let us know is there a way to call the Livereport and fetch the results of Livereport from a web service call, or any API / JAR file is needed to be added in our web application / java application for interacting with the Livereport.

From what I know and has seen so far.

LR support has been added to CS WS only after a certain Update.Perhaps 10,11,12 all should have it
Some bugs are there regarding if you run WR/LR Extensions nothing major but you will be able to workaround in the client API side.OT is aware of the bugs and I saw Jason posting that they will fix it in a patch.
Jason has posted an official sample.I have also posted Java and C# sample it is all in the WS area you might want to take a look at some simple examples
Regardless to say the WSDL of the ws should be exposed either in IIS or Tomcat as your case maybe.
