Webnode customization.

Hi All,

I have got a requirement according to which I need to create a 'Properties' link in front of document (same as 'Edit', 'Download').I read in some thread that it requires customization of promoted cmds under webnode... I searched in builder but didn't get anywhere.

Since I am new to customization I request you all to please help me how to do this as its becoming quite critical for the project

Hi Sandip,

You will need to create a WebNode command very much similar to the way how it is jotted down in the builder help document.

Once you do this, you will need to set the fIsPromoteable & fPromoteOrder features to display it in front of the documents.

Hi Sandip,

Sure you can.

Since we already have the Properties WebNode CMD in place, you can navigate to WEBDOC:DocNodeCmd:InfoCmd:Properties and then change the promote features as per my previous reply.

Give it a shot. Also, make sure that you override the mentioned features from your custom module rather than directly editing them.

What I remember is that you can only promote functions that are directly in the function menu and not the one that are under the properties sub menu.

Hey the object you created did you enable

It so it gets registered in the system

I know you are new but there are some

Pre requisites to some of this

Other than writing code and showing you

The best thing is to look and trace

Another equivalent thing once you find the

There is a script called _additemtojson

In 971 that basically reads these objects

And make promote things appear

Hi Sandip,

As Hans said, you can’t promote one that are under the properties sub menu.

You can only promote direct function menus.

Please check the attached screen shot, where you can see promoted “Properties” menu.

Here Promote order is 1.

Hi Sandip,

Set a PromoteOrder of 50 just for your testing purposes.
You will also need to go to the Globals object and run the Build OSpace script to save your changes.
Restart your builder and now you should see the changes.

I believe that the OP would like to just see the Properties option shown up in front of the items and not the sub-menus under it.
