CSIDE plugin crashes eclipse

Hi,

After adding the "com.opentext.cside_10.5.0.285" to the eclipse plugin directory any attempt to create a new Oscript project result in 100% memory usage and eclipse eventually crashing.

Any ideas ?

Environment is:

• Windows 7
• SQL Serever 2008
• Clean Content Server 10.5 installed, no optional modules
• Eclipse - eclipse-standard-kepler-SR1-win32-x86_64

Hi Kevin,

There's a known bug with our logger which causes symptoms similar to this.  It tends to mean something is trying to send an invalid UTF-8 character to the logger.

Tracking down what might be doing that can be tricky.  The most likely culprit is a patch.  If you have patches, you should have a look at those.  In particular, if you have pat105000008, you'll want to remove it and replace it with 105000025.
