C# - How to get a content server category by path

Hi.

I have some categories saved in custom folders. To use them by code, I use DocManSvc.GetNodeByPath() method.

Now, I have to use categories saved in Content Server Volume, not in customs folder. Is there any way to retrieve them by path or I can just use the ID?

Hi Riccardo,

When you're using GetNodeByPath you're starting from some root; you're passing the ID of this root as an argument.

You can obtain the ID's of the various top-level roots in the system using GetRootNode. I expect you want to use this to get the "CategoriesWS" root node and pass its ID.

Ok. Now I'm using GetRootNode() with "EnterpireWs" parameter value to get the ID of Enterprise Workspace. You suggest to use same method with "CategorieWS" parameter value to get Content Server Categories ID, so I can retrieve my category using her name as path. Ok, I try.
