Problem with value of Metadata of a category

hello,

I have a problem when bind the values of the Metadata of a category,

exactly when I create values of type Integer, and Date.

this is the error that is returned to me:

"store blackberries values (2) than the maximum allowed (1) for this attribute (attribute name)"

I do not have stored two values but one

Did you get your category template for the metadata block from somewhere and does that template already come with a default value?

You may be inadvertently adding a second value instead of replacing an existing value.

I take AttributeGroup this:

AttributeGroup categoryTemplate = fDocMan.getCategoryTemplate (categoryID);

and add value in this way:

for values Integer:

IntegerValue num = (integerValue) categoryTemplate.getValues (.) Get (5);

num.getValues (). add (1);

for values Date:

DateValue = DateValue (DateValue) categoryTemplate.getValues (.) Get (2);

Rd = new GregorianCalendar GregorianCalendar (2014, 01, 8);

try {

dateValue.getValues (.) add (DatatypeFactory.newInstance (). newXMLGregorianCalendar (rd));

} Catch (DatatypeConfigurationException e) {

e.printStackTrace ();

}

As Kyle alluded to already, I assume the category template is returning a value already in the template so you cannot just add another one.

So before you add values you can make sure no values exist already by calling the clear() method, like so:

IntegerValue num = (IntegerValue) categoryTemplate.getValues().get(5);

num.getValues().clear();

num.getValues().add(1);

And the same for the Date attribute:

DateValue dateValue = (DateValue) categoryTemplate.getValues().get(2);

GregorianCalendar rd = new GregorianCalendar(2014, 01, 8);

try {

dateValue.getValues().clear();

dateValue.getValues().add(DatatypeFactory.newInstance().newXMLGregorianCalendar(rd));

} catch (DatatypeConfigurationException e) {

e.printStackTrace();

}
