Where is the basic documentation for creating Live Reports?
Search in Content Server for "LiveReport" against the "Help" slice. You should get results that take you to a page like this:
LiveReports can be created in any container in Content Server, but to add or edit reports in the LiveReports Volume, you must have System Administration rights.
To add LiveReports to containers, you must have the LiveReport Object Privilege and Add Item permission on the container to which you want to add a LiveReport. The LiveReport Object Privilege is usually extended to a limited number of users who are knowledgeable about SQL and the Content Server schema. The LiveReport Object Privilege overrides the Modify permission, which means that users who do not have permission to create LiveReports cannot edit LiveReports either. For more information about user privileges, see Working with Users.
LiveReports can have Sub-Reports. Sub-Reports are LiveReports that open when called by another LiveReport, known as the parent. A Sub-Report is one way of executing a JOIN statement in SQL. For example, if you open a LiveReport that presents its results as a pie chart, clicking one of the pie segments opens its Sub-Report. Associating a LiveReport with a Sub-Report enables users to further refine the information reported to them.
