CSIDE Module Explorer doesn't work

Hi all,

I am trying to run Eclipse + CSIDE plugin in my valina CS 10.5 installation.

After Oscript Project is created Module Explorer doesn't show any ospaces.

Content Server process( javaw.exe ) takes all avaliable memory and nothing hapens after hour or two.

I can see logs in Console section, but Custom_server is empty. When I am trying to Stop process, error message appears in Error log.

CS is not accessible via browser when Eclipse is running.

Environment configuration

WS 2008 R2 SP1

SQL 2008R2 SP2

Eclipse eclipse-SDK-4.2.2-win32-x86_64

Plugin file com.opentext.cside_10.5.0.285.jar

Java 6 Update 35( 64-bit)

Has anyone seen such type of issues in new CSIDE ?

I have the exact same problem. The strange part is that I have at least one VM where with an empty project, I do have access to the module explorer, and CSIDE does correctly take over and function as the CS service. What is odd is that the server project always gets created in the Eclipse WS even if you create your src project outside the Eclipse WS.

The "takes up all available memory" thing is probably related to trying to log a patch (or somethng else) containing non-UTF-8 characters. This should be fixed in the latest update.

When you see "an error in the error log," it is very helpful for sorting out these problems if you could provide that when reporting the problem.

Removing patch 25 worked. For some reason, I thought it was patch '08 that was the one that had the UTF-8 issue. Removing it has gotten rid of all my CSIDE problems. I will start exploring this in detail in the coming days. -Hugh
