Uploading Content into CS10 from SAP/ABAP

Hi,

I am trying to upload a PDF document into OpenText CS 10 from SAP using ABAP. Using the ContentService WS I use the UploadContent exposed method, however, when I try to open the file, i get an error, cannot open the file, corrupted.

Has anyone been able to call Open Text webservices from SAP?

Did you try to use Documentmanagement web services instead of uploadcontent. If I recall uploadcontent use MTOB transfert by defualt.

The OpenText product Extended ECM for SAP is able to do this.

What I remember is that they use the Enterprise Library webServices to upload the document the Archive Server and then make the document know in CS.

It is true that you will need to leverage Enterprise LLibrary Services (ELS) web servicees, however you should let xECM handle where the documents end up(EFS or Archive Server). xECM already has the rules in place and you should leverage that as well. Here are a few links that should provide you with additional information:

The first link has some APAB code that should help you. You will need to upload it to you SAP system and examine the transactional processes. The second link has some ELS resources that will be useful and should give you a better insight of what is available through ELS.

What’s the exact error message, that you’re receiving on the client side?

Does the rcs.log file on the server contain any error messages?
