Purpose of Every Module

Hello

Is there any place in the knowledge centre where we can have information about all the default modules prensent in livelink.

I have done the address book module and this is really a very good tuto to begin development..

The address book tuto explains about LLNode,WebModule,WebNode Cmds and a few more stuff which are really the building block.

What i am now looking for is info about all the other modules and why they are prensent .. their purpose..

I’m not aware of any document that outlines this, however, you can look at each installed module on the ?func=admin.installmodule page, and see what Ospaces are associated with that module.

The name of each module is pretty self-explanatory.

Have you taken the Builder class? That's really the introduction to a sizeable number of the system components in the CS enviornment. However, with OClipse, things will be a bit differnt in 10.5.

Nonetheless, the best thing to do is to scrape the documentation sometimes included. Unfortunately, I have found the level of documentation to be lacking. It's inconsistently formatted, incomplete, and sometimes wholly out of date. If there is a repository someplace of such information, I'm sure a lot of developers like us would love to get access to it.

I haven't taken the builder class (or any other classes).. I think like good programmers, I learn by solving problems :-)

And then I live in Africa, the courses are not available to me.

But till now I have found most of my answers from this forum!
