MimeType not being set

Salut

The MimeType value is not being set when uploading a document with CreateDocument. Can someone provide example or technical specification on where and how it is set.

Hi Stef,

The mimetype of a document added through Content Web Services is determined by file extension. (The system has a mapping between extensions and mimetypes in the file "mime.types", found in the system installation config directory.)

When you useCreateDocument you're passing an Attachment. You will want to set that up with the appropriate name of a file, usually the name as used on the source system. In Java, for example, you might have something like:

attachment.setFileName (file.getName());
