Mime Type Restrict

We want to block some of the file extensions ( Example: .exe , .dll etc. )

We found information about the mime type restrict. Following link,

It is running on content server 10 ( with Content Server Builder ) but it does not run on content server 10.5 ( with Eclipse )

We have a problem with Eclipse IDE and there aren't enough detailed documentation on knowledge center.

So could you please help us.

I would say that in theory that this code should work in 10.5, but that largely depends on whether the CBAddVersPre callback is still supported (it probably is but I don't officially know). Is your problem that it is simply not being invoked? Did you just install the module from 10.0 "as is" in CS 10.5 or did you do the import/export step to convert the module? Also, in the Eclipse environment, do you see your module in the Modules view? If you can, you may want to set a breakpoint on it while CSIDE is running. Getting the callback to invoke in debug mode would be the first step. I'm just at the beginning of learning CSIDE myself so I have limited experience with it.

When we are debuging on the eclipse (we changed oscript function CORE:LLAPI:NodeCallBack:CBAddVersionPre), we get some errors. I'm sharing errors screenshots and console logs.

We thought that problem causes because of the Eclipse.

The errors are really coming from index processes which is because you have the Admin services running.Usualy a builder developer would have no problem shutting down the admin services because when you are in builder(so long as your program does not need search to work) you are limited to a single thread.However my initial approach adopting this with CS105 CSIDE fails because the MEMCACHED is kind of needed for this particular version to work.So I am investigating ways to turn off specific parts of the admin processes so it does not fire a request like you are seeing when you are debugging.

Also when callbacks are encountered it will not stop(at least not in builder) so most people would do things like echo's and such like

I would think callbacks are essential programmer features for you to use so it *should*

Your immediate problems should vane once you configure search correctly and defeat the firing of the extractor I think.If i get lucky I will share.

I am looking at it a little more closely.You say you "changed a callback from OT" most of us would orphan a callback and put our business rules into them

so when that particular event happens your business rule would fire that is the theory.

the Dot Invoke errors is particularly troubling

Usually one gets that when you mess with opening shipping OT modules (which you are not supposed to)

If I were you I would restore that CSIDE to how OT had it before write some simple echo lines in a CSIDE

program or even import Ossie's module and see if it compiles.

Hello,

I got same error without changing anything before.

I have installed new Content Server 10.5.

Also I installed Eclipse IDE Standart SDK and I did not make any changes in CS 10.5. Only, when Core:LLAPI is unlock ospace, we get error from the Content server. You can see in the bellow in the bellow;

Shutting down every process in the search volume helped me get my CSIDE not firing extra things that I did not start....

In the SDK forum there is a tutorial for you to go through.For e.g if say you have a module that was devloped in an old version of livelink say like 9.7 or 10,after you have livelink running and you have added the ot jar files you can see livelink code as before.

Developers like us are supposed to stay away from OT vended modules.So right after configuring your CS10.5 with the cside jar files check if you are running into the problems you are mentioning.At that point you may want to get help from OT support.

I enclose a screen shot of my CSIDE env and what I want you to know is basically on the left frame more on those things on the screen shot itself.I am very new to CSIDE myself but not new to oscript development.

Some body in the forums are going to admonish me for trying to educate I can only say it is almost like the blind leading the blind.

In my env I am not seeing the DOT invoke errors which as you may have righly said is probably not because you did something.

So get a working CSIDE/Livelink first and re-attempt.I can say for sure that the call backs are working for me

I am not yet on 10.5 but this behavior is not new. I just opened builder on a 971 system and a CS10 system, unlocked LLIAPI, then tried to browse to the Enterprise Workspace. In both cases I get an error on “llnode.nodeRightsUpdate”. I relock the module and all is OK.

I am curious about why do you need to unlock CORE:LLIAPI?

Hi everyone,

This intrigued me so I decided to see if I could get the callback working in my own module. I was successful. The code for the CBAddVersPre does in fact work. I think what was missed is the following:

1) You're not going to modify LLIAPI:NodeCallbacks, instead, you are going to create a new object (in a new package) which is an orphan of NodeCallbacks. You should NEVER be unlocking LLIAPI except under the rarest of circumstances, and even then only in a DEV sandbox.

2) In addition to overriding the CBAddVersPre in your orphan, you need to also override the following features: fEnabled (set to true) and fSubTypes (set to either {Undefined} or {144} - the former applies it to every object creation, the latter applies it to just documents).

3) In theory you should not need to do this but execute Build Ospace (cursor on your ospace and right click - it should be in the menu).

With these things done, you should see in your module explorer a couple of things:

* Your module should now be in place

* If you go to LLIAPI.NodeCallbackSubsystem, there should be a temporary object, and in it, you will find a feature called .fRegistry. If you inspect this, you should see your module if all went right. If you don't then it will never get called.

Appu, your document which you advise me is so useful. I have solved the problem and its running now. I was in wrong progress in this issue. I appreciated.

Also, I have a question about Admin rights in Content Server. Is there any function for modifying in OScript ? For instance, standart users can't add .avi files type cause its forbidden by the system with created module. So, Admin might be want to add .avi files type in to the system. This user should be able to add these kind of files.

Is it possible to do that ?

a quick and dirty way to check if you're the admin user (or a user with sys admin privileges) is to do the following:

if prgCtx.fDbConnect.HasByPassPerm()

// User has sys admin privs

else

// User is not privileged

end

If you were checking a specific permission for the container, you need the DAPI node and you need to loop through its node rights. If possible, I would suggest always using application globals for the permissions (i.e. $PSee | $PSeeContents) as opposed to the numeric equivalent of their bitwise OR.

Hi,

We are trying to upgrade our customized 9.7.1 module to Content 10.5.0 new source format.

We are making ActiveX object referencing to external dll from the oscript code for our customized functionality.In Content Server 10.5.0 ,the main issue seen is that activeX object is not being created in new source code format when module is being run from eclipse . We are using Eclipse Juno version.

The same module is working fine when it is run from web browser.

Below the code related to ActiveX call which is being used in our module

In the above code It is seen that, the activeX object is not being created/initialzed when the module is run from Eclipse . It is reporing the folowing error
