Need suggestion on triggering workflows using CWS

Hi,

We are in the design phase and the ask is to trigger Content server worflows from .NET interface. Basically users will be filling up data in a .NET form and on sumit of this form we need to map this information to a Content server form attributes and submit that form in CS10 thus invoking a workflow. Some guidance here would certainly help ..

There are multiple approaches to do this:

<![if !supportLists]>1.      <![endif]>When you submit the form in .NET, you can use Content Server Web Services to initiate workflow along with populating form attributes.

<![if !supportLists]>2.      <![endif]>If you have eLink module installed and configured, a workflow can be initiated when someone sends an email to the assigned workflow email. However; any attachment to that email, will be considered as an attachment to workflow. You can send an XML file with form information as email attachment. Within Content Server, you will need to write event script to parse this information and populate form attributes.

 

Personally, I would prefer 1^st approach.
