How to access Livelink from Java application

Hi,

I would like to know the various ways we can access livelink from a Java application. Is it possible to access using Java webservices only when the les-services are deployed on a webserver [Apache Tomcat]

Livelink web services is basically a way into getting into the livelink server's mechanism so it can be put on a IIS webserver or Tomcat webserver so long as both these webservers can contact an actual livelink server you should not have any problems with the language of your client.

The client is downloading proxies that is what you are doing when you point to the wsdl,the semantics of the language differs.

I regularly write java clients to a WCF livelink and .net clients to a JAX-WS livelink so mix and match is possible.
