Create multiple Folders, groups, permissions

We have a requirement to create around 5000 folders, 5000 groups and permissions on these folders. What are the possible solutions to avoid manual creation? We can model all the data in an excel if required. Can OTIC (Open Text Integration Center) be used to create the model in CS?

If you know excel VBA most of object creations can easily be done by creating object importer files user group creation can be done by web services calls OTIC may be possible I have never used it before

Hi Udit,

This should be possible using WebReports if this is an option for the customer. There are tags to create folders, groups and assign permissions. If you defined the model in a csv file this could be used as the data source for the WebReport which would then loop over the data using the appropriate logic.

Ian - I did not think WebReports could be an option but thanks for letting me know. I'll explore if that's feasible since we already have the licenses.
