How to set users prefered language

Jennifer_Woods

Does anyone know how to set a users prefered language?

I tried memberserviceclient.setmetadatalanguage but it only works for the authenticated user. It changed the display language but not the setting for prefered language on the users profile.

I am creating users and need to set their prefered language.

I don't think this is possible. I took a look at the CreateUser function (as well as the User SDO object that is passed into CreateUser) and could not find any indication on where to set the user's preferred language.
