Need report to show all documents added to a folder

I need to be able to run a report that will provide all the items added to a specific folder for a specifc date range. Note - over time documents have been added and deleted, I am trying to see if I can run a report that will show all the items added to a folder even if they are not there now; it would show they had been added and when.

Alternatively, the report could show all documents viewed or zipped and downloaded which would also get me close to what I need.

Or if the above is not possible, could it be run by showing all the items a specific user added to a specific folder for a specific period of time?

All that is necessary provided the events are logged back in the Admin pages.

I'd suggest using the DTREEANCESTORS table. Browsing to a specific folder would provide the DTREE.PARENTID, then using that you can get a list of all Objects immediately under, then checking Creation date if the DTREE.VERSIONNUM = 0. That's one version. The other would be difficult, since the PARENTID is not kept in the Tables, as such. A CREATE shows the path in DAUDITNEW.VALUE1, but in character-mode (eg: 'Enterprise:Folder1:Folder1b:Folder1c').
