Can we fetch or Update the Audit details of a document using LAPI?

I want to update the audit details of a document while creating the file in Livelink using LAPI. Can any one guide or point me to some links? Thanks in advance!

The API that replaced LAPI called CWS/EWS has methods addressing this.In traditional lapi you could create a LR and fetch this info

I WOULD STRONGLY URGE YOU TO CONVERT TO THE NEW API.

Also you cannot insert into the audit tables of livelink unless you changed how livelink code works.The audit events are a administrative setting and it gets done if you want it or not.When you add a document using the gui or lapi a createnode event is recorded as well as a createversion provided you or your admin has ticked the audit that says "audit node creation and version"

I wonder how one could debug livelink  if Fiddler, Wireshark and Softerra LDAP browser was not invented and not free
