How to get classifications for a node in Java

Are there any examples or documentation describing how to get the classifications using the SOAP web services (using the les-services-classifications.war)? We have found the documentation for the other web services (like AuthenticationService and DocumentManagementService from les-services.war), but have not been able to find anything on the classifications service. We are using Java for connecting to Content Server.

Classifications and RMClassifications are not part of the core offering as such it is an aid in navigation and classifying content
You will find users qns answered by other forum members including me in Records Management forum
To at least get a quick start you would need to deploy the WSDL code in either Tomcat or IIS
It also would be worth your time if you used the web GUI and put a classification or a rm classification and note the differences in parameters which would help you in writing code

Hi Henning,

Once you install Classifications, a new war file will be dropped into the OTHOME/webservices directory called les-services-classifications.war. Just take this file and drop it into your Tomcat webapps directory, restart tomcat and it will be be available for you to import the wsdl. To confirm that everything is working, just do this in your browser:

http://[TOMCAT URL]/les-services-classifications/services/Classifications?wsdl

and it should yield an xml page just like your core services. At that point do what you would do to include any other service in your Java and you will have access to the Classifications functionality. It's the same with Records Management, Security Clearance and Physical Objects modules as well. Let me know if you have any questions. I'm going through the same thing at the moment so maybe I can give you any lessons I've learned in the process.
