HI,

The Document Template Modul is not standard Modul of Content Server, So is not possible to Create Binder with CWS. However you can Create your own Module to manage that.

Binder? Do you mean folder or document compound?

The binder is a subtype introduced by certain solutions like case management contracts management etc comes from other solution stacks outside core DMS

I have used the lapi API in contracts a long time back

Have you tried putting the subtype in a web services call yet?

Binder is exposed to CWS, but create-from-template is not available on CWS. Starting from 10.5, create-from-template is supported on REST API. Please see detail from Release Note - https://knowledge.opentext.com/knowledge/llisapi.dll?func=ll&objaction=overview&objid=44228433
